This site is still somewhat under construction but there’s lots of content ready to browse.
Pardon any loose ends meanwhile.

What’s on This Site:

Published Work serves up examples of my professional news and feature writing, where you can link to external sites or download reprints of articles written for a variety of publications. It’s for anyone who wants to see writing samples but also for general reading, should the content interest you.

A Bloggish Collection of Stories offers magazine-ish type features I write occasionally for this site when I feel a tug to share a story of an interesting nature. I do try to set a reasonably high bar for “of general interest,” and I put time and love into these pieces.

The Blurb-osphere is where I shine a light on others whose work, moments of brilliance or special accomplishments I’ve found interesting, and so might you.

Every dog has a story. The Real Dogs of White Bear Lake” is the name of a column I do for The White Bear Press/Press Pubs serving the northeast metro areas of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Each column features a glimpse into the life of a dog I come across by chance on walks around the city, and celebrates the ways that ordinary dogs make our every day human lives more extraordinary, and vice versa. This is an archive of those columns. Posts are made the week after the White Bear Press has run them.
